Fatima Shahid is a senior pre-medical student at the University of Rochester studying Molecular Genetics. She began tutoring in 2020 to help young learners navigate the transition to online school, and has since gained 6 years of tutoring experience.  

Her tutoring style emphasizes the importance of active learning. Fatima encourages students to practice applying challenging concepts by working through practice problems and building confidence in their own ability to think critically and problem-solve. Her goal is to help students become more independent and confident learners, both inside and outside of the classroom.  

Outside of tutoring, Fatima enjoys staying active, and is currently training to become a pilates instructor!
